Colin Makin was born and raised in Boonsboro, Maryland, and began attending Appalachian State University in 2004. After graduation, Colin remained in Boone until moving to Hickory in October of 2011. He has a deep and abiding love of climbing, Spanish wine, and chorizo tacos.
Zach was born and raised in Hickory, North Carolina. After studying at UNC- Chapel Hill and Appalachian State, Zach returned to his hometown in 2011 to open what would become Hatch Sandwich Bar. He enjoys cooking, Grüner Veltliner wine, and UNC basketball. His all-time favorite sandwich is the beef brisket sub at Fatty ‘Cue in Brooklyn, NY.
